17th annual Myrtle Creek festival
This years 15th annual frestival opened with a fill schedule of events for the entire family.
Opening day inclided "Art on the Bridge" by South Umpqua Art Assn. which dispayed art on the covered bridge
Thursday evening entertainment included Old Time fiddlers on the Band shell
Friday events opened with a photo contest and quilt show.
A radio-controlled model airplane demo was held on the Millsite Park baseball field.
Children's events in the Kid's Hang-out by the fountain in the park included face painting and mask making.

Parade on Main street
Saturdays events started with a Parade on Main street.
Followed by BMX Jump competition on Volunteer way next to the Millsite Park.
Arm wrestling competition was held under the picnic shelter.
The 4x4 Rock Crawl competition on the course of boulders in the parking lot across from the covered bridge is a thrill to behold.
Other events held saturday include a cake walk on the band shell stage with cake donated.
The Eugene Skydivers parachuted into the park before the annuel fireworks show.
A non denominational community church service was held Sunday morning.
The Lions Club hotdog stand is a favorite
The profits from the hotdog stand go to a fund to continue the summer festival
